I grew up outside Minneapolis strongly became influenced by music in early grade school. Picked up some drumsticks at age 12 and messed around for years developing a stronger passion for writing in high school, which developed into being a Rapper/MC/artist/musician of sorts.

Q. How would you describe your music?

“I would like to think of my music as expanding, I am usually attempting to say something in a new way or create randomness until it makes sense musically, that’s how what I think is my best work has come from.”

Q. Influences/ Inspiration (friends, family, other artists)

“I could probably name a never ending list of artists and people that influence me and add to it daily, I get really inspired by results and seeing others excel especially those around me, the Twin Cities has been doing great things it has been very inspirational and I hope to keep productive and join the force in my own way.”

Q. What current projects are you working on?

“I now have another EP coming along i’m really going to push to have something out before Jan.”

Q. Where did you get your name?

“The idea to have George Jetson as my rap name actually came from the intro to Craig Macks flavor in yur hear. “kick that ol futuristic George Jetson”…IDK it stuck out to me one time while hearing it and I thought about it for a bit n decided that it fit. I somewhat resemble the guy and I like the analogy of living in the future, just trying to stay ahead from a creative standpoint, worked for me.”

Q. What’s your opinion on the battle rap scene?

“The battle rap scene is constantly elevating with skill and exposure it’s fun to be able to witness Battles coming from all over the world now, and really great to be apart of as well, It’s hard to see every battle but it’s great to see the culture of it all thriving with artists and different movements from all over. “

Q. How do you prepare for a performance?

“Preparing for a show I wld pick songs I have down to a certain extent to be the most versatile and loose when performing live songs, and usually just go from there by working on what songs I’ll be doing. For battles I come with a different preparedness still working on a finalized blueprint lol.”

Q. Favorite/top 5 MC’s?

“That’s another tough one for me, it would be easier for me to answer by saying 5 most influential to my craft I would honestly say (RIP) to Eyedea, Notorious BIG, Aesop Rock, Eminem, Outkast, I could really attribute expanding and shaping my skills to all of these artists, then from there it’s just about practice once you get that feel for how it’s done lol.”

Q. If your rhyme started out with this…. “Picture me rollin’ down the street as I’m reppin’ OBSOLETE…” How would you finish it?

“…name is Jetson I’m a beast, ya know I clown MCs when I’m spittin on a beat….???”

Q. Favorite spot to chill out?

“The at home studio.”

Q. Favorite spot to get your grub on in the Twin Cities?

“5-8’s always great! or Jimmy Johns perhaps?”

Q. What do you do in your off time?

“Off time I like good movies…”

Q. What do you love most about being a musician?

“That you can do whatever you want musically, once the right tools or resources are at your disposal.”

Q. Any last words or shout outs?

“Thanks for connecting, “LIKE” the Facebook for battles shows and music Updates! “
