“Mendota Heights Park.”
Q. What other skaters inspire you?
“Ive been really hyped on Morgan Smith lately. I think he is underrated. His stye is one of the best.”
Q. Favorite trick to pull off?
“Nollie front heelflip. Or is it backside? I’ll never learn the terminology. Let’s just say the non-halfcab way.”
Q. Why do you like to skate?
“The feeling of landing new tricks. Hanging with a crew of friends, trying to one up each other, and just getting hyped off each other and all the good vibes. It also clears you mind you don’t worry about anything when you’re skating. I just love everything about it.”
Q. Last time you got kicked out of a spot for skating?
“What was it, about 3 weeks ago? At a spot in SLP. Also I gotta give a warning to my friend Juan, the cop asks us for our names and of course we give fake ones and I gave my buddy Juan’s name, so yeah, don’t skate there bro. You already got your first strike lol.”
Q. Why do haters hate?
“You’d have to ask a hater to get that answer. All I can say is that if you don’t have haters, you’re not doing something right. “
Q. What do you like most about living in the Twin Cities?
“The people here are awesome. I love the diversity and have met some amazing friends. There’s so much to do. There’s a lot of opportunity here as well. In a way I love the season changes, but obviously snow can suck, but I plan to pick up snowboarding this year so I’m not completely bummed on it. Overall, I think its an amazing place to live and would recommend anyone to move here (especially my mom and sister *hint*hint*)”
Q. Favorite place to grab a drink?
“Whiskey Park downtown. My good friend is the DJ there and well, you can’t beat free drinks.”
Q. Does skating without a shirt help get the ladies?
“Duh, thats why they call me the Skater Situation *fist pump*”
Q. Any shout outs you’d like to include?
“Love you Mom, Laura, the kids. Thanks to all my friends and family who supported me and my skating and not being bummed that I sucked at “real sports.” Shout out to all the homies back in Pierre, SD. Shout out to Josh and Brandina’s mom, tell her I’ll be home this weekend.”
